Often misunderstood, self-harm is a coping mechanism used to manage overwhelming emotions and stress. It encompasses a range of behaviors aimed at intentionally hurting oneself. Beyond the immediate physical harm, self-harm can impede one’s ability to lead a healthy life by hindering interpersonal relationships and harming one’s self-esteem. Our goal is to work toward a healing relationship in which we care for ourselves rather than hurting ourselves.
Self-Harm.
Everyone tries to figure out who they are at one point or another. Identity issues can be profoundly challenging, impacting various aspects of one’s life, including relationships, career choices, and self-esteem. Our goal is to work together to identify issues in hopes to bring clarity and insight into having a deeper understanding of who a person is and who they may want to be.
